HP & Cisco - or not!

Does it make any difference to well organised and supported businesses whether HP & Cisco are joined at the hip? (see recent press articles on the probable change in their business relationship).

'Probably not' is the response from many of our clients.

In an environment where the maintenance, support and even acquisition of new IT equipment is well planned and managed the close relationship of major IT equipment manufacturers is an important, but not a critical, factor. There is no doubt that the equipment from both manufacturers will continue to work together when needed and that support will remain available. So, while there will, possibly, be a marginal increase in cost overall the news of a potential divorce between Cisco & HP is not causing any of our clients to lose sleep.

Facility Expansion

Server Market - HP Leading Q3 2009

It comes as no surprise to us at Trojan Solutions that HP have retained their position as market leaders in Server Sales. In our opinion HP's portfolio of servers and options has by far the best coverage across all ranges and we can see no sign of that changing.

We believe we can all draw some encouragement from the increase in both shipments and revenue that Q309 has shown over Q209, it certainly adds substance to ours and many other HP houses experience in as much as the market does feel far more stable now than earlier in the year.
